EinScan-SP 3D Scanner

This scanner produces excellent results. The software seems like it could use some tweaking and fine tuning and is a very basic looking interface and it does not give you control of each individual scan if you wanted to attempt to delete one frame I sometimes do get the loose cable issue as others are experiencing but this does not happen very frequently when doing most scans and seems to happen more frequent if attempting a full 180 scan of a model. The learning curve is not to bad as this is my first 3d scanner. I would suggest starting with a lower number of scans such as 16-32 as additional scans produce more noise and a lower quality model. The trick appears to be attempting to capture the item in as few scans/images as possible. The auto join feature works pretty well, and it does allow you to re-align if needed. Also ensure you are performing a calibration if anything such as the turntable or scanner is moved even slightly as this will produce issues if you do not re-align. Alignment is an easy process however. if an alignment is not done correctly it will often misalign part of the scanned data. I have not been able to get the turntable encoded objects to work very well, this method of scanning appears to be very picky about lighting conditions, alignment, etc. However I have found that this mode is not needed for most of my scans. Overall this scanner is amazing for the price point and I don't think there is any better bang for your buck. I purchased this item with the discovery pack and it works great for my needs of miniature items Digitmakers had a pre-owned model of scanner so I was able to save some money here - thanks!

This device is outstanding. I had awesome results ... almost right out of the box. I was getting the “loose cable” error that I saw others have on U Tube and other feed back channels. Frustrating? Yes. But, Shinning 3D support was awesome. I requested support on their web page and had the answer over night. Is now running like a top. The software is a impressive as the scanning ability. It pieces the scans together quickly and the software has a very good feel to it (hard to explain). It is simplistic in its operation yet gives amazing results. I would highly recommend it.
