D3D Premium PLA 1.75mm - 1 kg- Various Colors

Colors looks great when printed, red, light gray and blue purple in particular are as advertised. Recommend (plus these are Canadian made filaments)

The clear PLA looks white but prints quite clear. I am using it to mount back-lit text at 1mm thickness and the result is crisp. It prints easy and without flossing.

I noted in my review of the glow-in-dark blue that it had a very greenish hue. So I bought a roll of the glow-in-the-dark green to compare. Seen side by side (shown here with green on the left under a fluorescent black light), there is a slight difference and the green is greener. Printed together in a dual-colour print, the colours blend at the seam so it is very difficult to tell where one begins and the other ends. Otherwise, very similar in intensity and duration. The green did have trouble with excessive stringing and poor adhesion straight out of the sealed vaccum bag. However, 8 hours in the filament dryer seems to have largely cured that. Kids get a kick out of glowing prints. I've made a couple of Flexi-Rexies and a phone case for various grandkids and they think it's pretty cool.

This is fun stuff to experiment with. I used a hardened steel nozzle (as phosphorescent filaments are reputed to be abrasive) and raised my extruder temperature 5°C above my normal PLA settings. It prints as nicely as any other PLA with no adhesion, stringing or other issues. And it bonds well with other layers of normal PLA. In the light, the colour is slightly off-white. The colour comes through in the dark, when glowing. Calling it "blue" must be in comparison to the one called "green". By itself, it's really more of a light jade -- definitely somewhere between blue and green. It charges up fairly rapidly under UVA light, and the light does not have to be particularly strong. I've tried direct sun, in a window on an overcast day, under a fluorescent black light and with a 380nM LED -- all worked equally well. Once it reaches it's happy place stronger light or longer exposure will not increase the brightness or duration of the glow. But the UV light needs to fall on the surface -- it's self-shading. The maximum depth of UV penetration seems to be about 4-5mm thick. If you charge from only one side of a flat piece thinner than that, the other side will still glow somewhat. Much thicker, and there's no significant glow from the back side. The glow from the exposed face of a thin print is not really any brighter or longer lasting than that of a thicker print. However, the thicker print (up to about 4mm) does seem to have a more even glow, less affected by layer lines. But the effect is subtle, more noticeable comparing two samples side-by-side. Even thin layers have a fairly even glow -- there's no sparkly hot spots interspersed, suggesting that the formulation incorporates fine particles rather than coarse chunks. I therefore speculate that this filament may not be as abrasive as brands that exhibit a sparkly effect and perhaps a brass nozzle will survive the encounter -- but I have no evidence to support that hypothesis as I left the steel nozzle in place throughout my experiments. The brightness definitely exhibits a half-life type of decay. Freshly charged, the glow is visible by cupping one's hands around it even outside in full sunlight. Take that into a dark room and after 10 or 15 minutes the light level has diminished quite perceptibly. At half an hour, the glow is nowhere near as impressive. And at an hour it's positively dim. But with eyes that have adjusted to the dark, your kids' Flexi-Rexi will still be glowing very dimly when they wake up 8 hours later.

Fantastic material to use with my Creator 3, smuth printing on my glass print bed. I used the D3D blueishgreen for the guitar and the pedal stand.

I loved that filament when i bought it 3 years ago. Then it become brittle to the point of not being usable, i though i didnt stored it well enough. I order a new batch. The new roll is almost just as brittle as the 3 years old one, un-usable, always break.

Great product to work with, and clean welding between colours.

Prints ok. Had the filament break in the tube a few times in a direct drive printer, it seems pretty brittle but settings were easy to hone in.

Good quality pla printed with ender 5 plus. Nothing but great things to say about digital makers excellent service will not be ordering from Amazon again.

Exceptional strength and dimensional accuracy - I initially used it at to print a dial indicator mount, it came out perfect. This filament' settings required no tweaking. I didn't use ironing, which would improve surface quality even more.

Printed out Kermit without any problems using my regular PLA slicer settings.

Terrible filament. Fresh out of the package this filament is very brittle. It would always break off, right at the filament sensor on my Creality Ender 3V2. It would snap off if the printer was not in use for as little as 6 hours. Reinserting this filament into my printer became a daily chore. I have used other colors of this filament without issues, but this particular spool was complete garbage.

The clear blue I received is very brittle. I am not very happy with it. It will break as soon as a print finishes which I find odd.

Was using ESUN but couldn't find the colour I wanted so I got this brand instead. Printed with the same settings just to see the difference SO MUCH BETTER. Substantially less stringing then ESUN, very happy with the results

No mater what I print, the D3D material has not let me down. Great filament with a consistent quality.

My grade 4 students earn gold, silver, or bronze tessellating Escher lizards as a reward for wearing a mask and physically distancing consistently throughout the week. The week before I introduced this system, I had to remind my students 95 times. After weeks using this reward system, I need to remind my students maybe 7 or 8 times, in total. Not only do my students love to collect the lizards and interlock them, but this system is keeping our classroom a safer space in which to learn.

You can use a silver or gold Sharpie marker to draw on whatever black object you've printed.

Used white filament to print tessellating Escher lizards for my grade 4 students. They use Sharpie markers to colour their own patterns.

This filament has a weird colour, not really golden, more like caramel... Prints well, though.

Purchased this along with the grass green. Worked well on Prusa MK3S at the standard generic PLA setting. No complaints. Would purchase again. Green seems to be hard to find so that was my original reason for trying this.

All the D3D material are fantastic to work with, I don’t use glue on the glass plate and the parts adhere to the surface.

Great filament

The actual product works well, but less than 1/4 of the way through the spool we started running into filament snapping. It appears like the filament was not wound correctly on the spool and there are sections overlapping each other causing filament to bind and snap. Very unfortunate because the actual filament is quite nice, but I do not have the time or patience to rewrap the entire spool.

As with all the D3D filaments no matter what colour the quality of the prints are fantastic and the setup to run the material is easy. Love the product and thanks to Digitmakers.ca

We have created over 350 Face Shields for local Front Line workers and Healthcare professionals in our area, and we lost count after 500 Ear savers, we've been using the D3D Premium PLA since the Pandemic started, Donations for Filament have dried up, however we are still going strong with a small print fee only.

A good clear filament. Tough to find these days. Prints nice. As with all clear filaments, expect the finished part to be cloudy and kind of white unless you use specific print settings.

Great colour, and prints pretty nice. I would purchase more from this line.

It is brittle when left for hrs unattended. Not very clean with its print. and constantly rubs against the side of the nozzle, grating.

Nice light blue color (sky blue?) and good value. Prints fine and the finish is nice too. Not too glossy, but not matte finish either.

This is a beautiful opaque white filament. Most whites I find are a bit on the translucent side, not this one. It's perfect for any job you need to print in a nice solid white. I'd highly recommend it for lithopanes.

This filament is truly top notch! I got Gold and Silver and I have to say, I'm very picky about my filament, and this does not disappoint! It looks very matte on the spool, but then prints into a beautiful silk. The tolerance seems near perfect as well. I will most definitely be stocking up on this one!

Prints really well, making a good quality print. A little more pink then intended in some lighting. But still I'm able to get some nice prints in a purple colour with some translucence, looks good with a nice gyroid infill.
